CHERYL DYER
On Aging
Some see a spent body
when what they’re really seeing
is a body-in-motion—living, itself.
When they look about, they only see
fountains for coin tossing
when really the world is full of pools—
deep pools where rich and murky life
thrives and blooms
with or without sunshine.
CHERYL DYER is a poet, visual artist, and calligrapher residing in Omaha, NE. She is currently pursuing an MFA in writing through the University of Nebraska in Omaha. She received Honorable Mention for the 2024 Helen W. Kenefick Poetry Prize, was nominated to represent the University of Nebraska for the 2024 AWP Intro Journals Project, and has work appearing in the current issue of The Gilded Weathervane. Her visual work has been shown in galleries throughout the United States and is frequently published in The Letter Arts Review.
