CULLEN BREAUX, a recent graduate of Louisiana Tech, is the cover artist and featured artist of Tethered Literary’s summer issue. By recontextualizing and assembling found objects, he hopes to invite others to reconsider the value of the overlooked and forgotten. Juxtaposing artificial material with natural/living materials allows him to connect the natural world with contemporary society. Cullen’s artwork is both autobiographical and universal. Symbols and imagery within the pieces reflect his exploration of identity through materiality.
